Mike Augustyniak founded the agency after a career as a running back for the NY Jets. Susan joined in 2008 after a decade at Nationwide. Together, they built something that matters to them: an agency where people actually pick up the phone, explain things in plain English, and fight for you when it’s time to file a claim.

Susan Augustyniak

HGTV addict, Westie mom, and insurance agency owner

Susan graduated with honors from the University of Florida with plans for law school — then Nationwide Insurance hired her and changed everything. She spent 10 years climbing the ranks as a commercial underwriter, claims adjuster, large loss adjuster, and district sales manager before leaving corporate insurance.

 In 2008, she joined Mike, and together they built one of Jacksonville’s most recognized independent agencies. 

She loves what she does and has never looked back. When she’s not at the office, you’ll find her watching HGTV, spoiling the Westies (Augie and Mollie), or planning her next trip.

Mike Augustyniak

Indiana Football Hall of Famer, former NY Jets fullback, and agency co-founder (retired)

Mike grew up the middle of 9 kids in rural Indiana, walked on to Purdue football as what he calls “a tackling dummy,” and earned a scholarship and the starting running back spot. The NFL didn’t draft him — so he walked on to the NY Jets tryouts, beat the odds again, and played 4 seasons before a knee injury ended his career.

 In 2017, Mike was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame — a recognition of the walk-on kid from Fort Wayne who refused to quit. 

He spent the next 15 years as a top award-winning agency sales manager for Allstate and Nationwide in Florida before co-founding Augustyniak Insurance in 2005. 

Mike is now retired from the day-to-day, but his competitive spirit and work ethic are baked into everything the agency does. He spends his time watching college football, playing golf, and keeping up with Augie and Mollie.
